I saw a post over on QCB, so I thought I would post up here the same thing :)

What I did is went to Walmart and got this bag of cheap tennis balls... something like 6.97 for the bag of 12. They are Wilson balls, but not the best quality.
I then used a razor/Utility Knife to cut them... pole the point of the knife in, and your good to go... just cut away from your self... not hard to cut at all...
Here is what I did too with a stencil and airbrush!

I used a utility knive to cut a slot in them and then used a pair of tin snips

I bought a dozen Gamma Practice balls at Dicks Sporting Goods ($6.50 a dozen) and started to cut them up - HOLY CRAP! they smell bad inside!

I have them all cut now, and am airing them out outside.

I think I'll stop by the coin laundry mat and wash them . . .

That should make the next person's load of wash smell REALLY SPECIAL! :thumb:

A trick I learned - I got a 2 inch PVC elbow (slip-slip) at ACE HArdware, and the tennis balls fit inside the end nicely. I made a few centermarks on the ball using the seam in the ball as a guide, and pressed the ball into the PVC elbow. Then just run a utility knife along the ball using the rim of the PVC elbow as a guide. Makes nice straight cuts!

Also, you don't have to cut all the way through the ball - just score it halfway through and squeeze the ball, and it will pop and tear along the score mark.

Mine came out nice.
