I did alot of google on the bullhole . I read about the "South River Dam"..I think this might be the "Bullhole" http://www.co.rowan.nc.us/GOVERNMENT/Departments/PublicLibrary/HistoryRoom/TheoBuerbaumsSalisbury/YadkinRiverandtheTradingFord/SouthRiverDam/tabid/562/Default.aspx ...... btw.... I think that a lot has changed if thats the photo.

I have seen photos of other dams like the one at bullhole on the Yadkin river...

Could be the same, but that area just really looks like it has changed geographicly to be the same...

The pond at the top is larger, and the wall is higher in the middle section.

But they have added the dam house later, and could have cleared a bit more around it to get to it to build up the dam a bit...

Not saying it isn't.. Cause there is an old mill around there and this could easily be that photo...
