I have started to have one slip in the rear axle... so I decided to pre-order a set of Stainless Steel...

http://freakstuffracing.com/

33 bucks shipped... seems like a fair price to me. I think the axials will be around the 15 dollar mark!

Nice. I just got a stocker replacement just in case, but if I blow one up then I'll have to look that direction.

there is this option too...I cut and paste better than anyone:thumb:

Titanium locker for axial
Well here we go guys.........
Ti 6al-4v locker with Ti cross pin. Still in testing but will be released soon. Never strip another locker!

I have placed these on preorder and will start shipping on 3/31. Go to the RCC vendor section for details.
Get your orders in now!

Made from solid Ti 6AL-4V.
If your tired of stripping lockers, this will help. This has a tensile strrength of 130,000psi. Aluminum, sintered steel or stainless is no where near this strength.

Price will be $35 per piece.
I have tested using Ti cross pins but the stock hardened steel cross pin is more than enough.

Thanks

I just installed Stage 3 Racing Hardened Chromoly Steel AX10 Lockers...fit is great and beefy compared to the stockers, the tolerances for the input shaft it alot tighter. I have hardly any slop:thumb:

kinda hard to see but my stockers were almost toast.

hey

I run the freak racing lockers, they work great. I only installed them to reduce slop and to prevent future failure.

I guess my batteries were not strong enough, I never damaged a stock locker. So I have a bunch of extra stock ones, let me know if someone needs them. You can have them cheap.

Would anyone else consider a set of these lockers? As I will be making a purchase as well.

Might as well get the free shipping. :monkeyeye:

No real rush, but please let me know. ;)

I just order a skid a 1 locker from them. It cost me 1.99 shipping. I though it was 12.99 for 2, I was all over it. Oh well, still a good deal. I guess if someone is ordering some I'll take another to compete the set.

When you guys are talking about the stock slop, you are talking about when you turn your wheels by hand back & forth holding one set of axles and/or between forward & reverse......I think thats still in question form :)

There's just alot of play/slop is what I find. Same as you guys I imagine. It would be fantastic to eliminate that no doubt.

Now if I can just eliminate the $1850.79 1:1 repair bill I may be able to pick up a part or two for my crawler. It's gonna be slim pickin's for a few weeks I imagine.

Yeah, they got me for everything. Cam seals, some other seal on the front of the motor, this that and the other's. Needed a knock sensor, o2 sensor, right front axle, another timing gear, etc etc. They thru some more extra stuff in there too. That's not counting the $95 getting it over there.

They also tried to charge me $225 for front brakes ONLY. I said, nah, I'd do that myself for $17........Peckerheads.
