View Full Version : scorpion stage 2 upgrade
what im trying to find out is how it handles before and after the change. is this worth doing. i crawled the other week with a stage 2 scorpion and mine is a stock kit and i did not see a difference.

I no longer have the torque twist, it flexes better, the wheel weights are perfect, and it doesnt get hung on everying.

That's the biggest difference I saw - no torque twist. But from what I saw of your rig, you don't really have much either. That area we were in wasn't challenging enough to show the differences I think - hopefully we'll get together in a tougher location soon.
My decision to go with it was based on the cost.. at $40 it wasn't a tough call. If you're happy with how your rig crawls, by all means leave it be :thumb:

Also...if you read the parts list and buy the stuff on your own from a fastner company...you can get it way way cheaper...
I got 20 of each size bolt in the kit, Tube to make my 6mm spacers, soft sprints for the front for 32 bucks... And I have extra screws for repairs and such...
I already had the bent links, and I didn't have to drill out holes on my chassis either, which I wasn't ready to do yet....
