Atlanta Crawl for Kids Comp

Great Venue!!! I would say that its worth the 4.5 to 5 hour drive for this crawl spot if there is another event... Got to mingle with some great folks there too. Christmas lights were a nice touch to the crawling as well...

Course 1 got better through out the day, by the end of the day, I could drive the course with my 1.9 Scaler.

Course 2 very straight forward, traction also got better through out the day

Course 3 was easy

Silas is being modest. He kicked *** at this comp. Silas tied or got low score on all courses and went into the final in first position (that would be 1 point ahead of the 2007 National Champion, Gate Keeper). I think nerves got the best of Silas durring the final and the scores were tight, so he slipped back to 4th.

Mike did not drive course 1 well and did well on the two easier courses. Mike beat me on the day. Congrats.

I got complete knocked off my game on course one. There was a combination of events that ultimate caused for me to have to say that I completely failed at this course:
- I drove the course too early in the day, it was wet
- I drove with tires that I knew would not work great in the wet (that was really dumb)
- finally - as I was going from the second hardest to the hardest gate of the day, someone fired a cannon, I clamped up and squeezed the trigger and let off quickly, which caused me to take out a gate, followed by another gate, followed by me taking out 2 more gates. Not so hot.

They also ran 1.9 comp, which was cool to watch, I guess I have to build one.

Then it was time for 1.9 Scale. As usual, this class came with its regular load of BS. Silas built a course, and people thought it was too hard. I really think it was fine.

After the comp, a group of 14ish crawlers went out for supper, then we did out 4.5 to 5+ hour ride home

Definately sounds like a really good time. How many "rigs" were entered in2.2? Cant wait to see the pic's !!!!!

I wish I had more time to take photos... but studing drivers and course...the only time I took photos is when I needed to calm my nerves :)
