Well, it's not going to be exactly an "event", but, I'm going to head down to 40 Acre Rock this weekend to shakedown my truck before the CRR comp on the 10th. That's the closest spot to us that has any real rock to crawl on. Anybody interested in joining in? I can go anytime Thursday through Sunday. Chime in if you'd like to go and we can come up with a time.

It's about 30 minutes south of me down in the edge of South Carolina. It's about 5 miles south of Pageland. Then it's about a 3/4 mile hike into the crawl spots. It's not actually 40 acres, but it is actually 14 acres of granite to crawl on.

Yeah, I thought about going to URE, but it's quite a bit farther for me...I'm gonna stick to 40AR this weekend.

Thursday would be best for me since Ive got a Polar Bear Run on Saturday. It's a 60 mile drive so not that bad just need to know what time to be there and where to meet. I'll be driving my Dually

Where would you want to meet? Ive got it pulled up on Google maps and it looks like Nature Reserve rd off Hwy 601 is the location for 40 Acre Rock Heritage Perserve

Hmmmm, Thursday is my last off before I go on-call.

Still aint got my b!tch of a crawler finished yet though. I'd hate for the 10th to be my shakedown run.

I can bring my balls to 40AR to help set up some courses.

Right now it's just Lee & Eric on Sunday?

Hey

What do you need to finish the truck? Let me know if I can help you out.

Right now it's just me and Eric on THURSDAY. Sounds like about noon or a little earlier.

Eric, you take 601 south out of Pageland about 10 miles, and turn right on Nature Reserve Road. Go about 2 miles to Conservancy Road (look for the brown sign with the binoculars) and take a left. Go all the way to the end of Conservancy Road to the parking lot. We can meet there, just name the time. It's about a 3/4 mile walk into 40AR.

You can also come across Hwy 9 to 601 if you wanted to come down that way. For that matter we could meet up here somewhere and ride down together if you'd like.

Thanks Rene. I appreciate the offer.

I've got the last of it coming. Just needed some gear jelly and a few extra connectors to get this thing wired up. Oh yeah, I bought a new motor to install up front. Not sure what the 55t motor that I do have has been thru.

I set Jan 9th as "THE DEADLINE" on my calendar. Then I got a list started. It was surprisingly short. :D

So can you make it down on Thursday?

I thought about maybe making it OVER and then down. Was pondering meeting you in Monroe at the homestead possibly. Didnt know what your agenda is though?

Then again, talking to the family, I think we can all make the trip. Maybe we can meet you to follow you to 40AR or depending on how long you plan to be there, maybe you can ride with us.

How's the new truck 1:1 treating you & Pete? :)

Cajun

Sure, that could definitely work. I think the fam would have a good time there for sure, it's areally cool park and like no place I've ever seen before.

New truck's doing good, Pete loves the fact that he has his own seat now. ;)

I'm going to leave my place about 10:30 or 11 tomorrow morning. That should put me at the 40AR parking lot at about 11 or 11:30 for anyone interested.

Today was a good day and it was nice meeting you guys. I think I'll be back down there again in the near future as soon as I get the Sidewinder and Holmes motor installed. Im checking on a couple 11v Lipos now to see how soon I can get them

Good thing you broke it right before we left. I got my sidewinder and Holmes 35t installed tonight and ordered a couple bigger batteries for it last night so I'll be doing more practicing very soon
