Got a set of the new Proline Hammers in the M3 compound. They came in last Friday and I ran a pack through them real quick. They are hooking up better than the stock Lizards for sure, so that makes me happy.
I guess when I get out on a run with the group we can see how they shape up compared to some of the other options out there.
Heres some pics.......
By my measure they are an 1/8" smaller than the Lizards mounted. The beadlock rings sit a good bit deeper into the rubber than with the Lizards.

Sweet... very interested to see how they do hook up. Be nice to see other options rather than the Rock Claws!

Of course it was taken from the ProLine site:
ProLine has the NEW Hammer Tire with Memory Foam
The Sledgehammer and Jackhammer trails located near Johnson Valley, California, are some of the most brutal trails known to crawlers around the country. Twisted fenders, crushed rocker panels, axle breaks, are all apart of a typical Hammer experience. The need for good equipment and the right equipment is crucial for getting through the trails successfully. Of course, throw in some experienced driving for good measure and that would help too. But, as with most competitive sports, the need for the right rubber on the ground is crucial for the best performance out of your rig. Pro-Line is proud to announce the Hammer tire for all those brutal trails around the country for your 2.2” Crawler.
The tire has been designed for complete terrain diversity. An alternating outer lug design made up of solid lugs and recessed lugs allows for different lug flexing characteristics. The diverse outer lugs help to ensure that the tire will continually grab and re-grab under the most extreme conditions for unsurpassed forward progress. Next, there’s finely detailed sidewall tread made to grip the surrounding terrain whenever in a super tight spot. Finally, the center lugs provide lateral stability for all of those side-hilling obstacles.
And a first for the crawling industry, Pro-Line has included their all-new Memory Rock Crawling foams in the Hammer tires at no additional costs (please see part number list below).
Available in super soft M2 and ultra soft M3 compounds, the Hammer is just what you need to elevate your crawler to the next level of performance.
· Rock Crawling Memory foam or Super firm inserts included.
· Super soft M2 or ultra soft M3 compound
· Sidewall tread designed to resist tire rollover in an All-terrain design
· Works with 2.2” standard or 2.2” Bead-Loc wheels
#1145-01 (M2) Standard Foam $20.00
#1145-02 (M3) Standard Foam $22.00
#1145-11 (M2) Memory Foam $20.00
#1145-12 (M3) Memory Foam $22.00

I got the stock Proline memory foams with them for now. Figured if I didn't like them that I already have a couple sets of standard foams lying around.

Yeah I am going to work on getting a set, but want to run a new set of wheels for them... start over with the weights and such...
I love the tread design, but they have really mocked the Rock Claws a bit, with the open lug design.

next question are you running breather hole ?
Yes, I am. Two, spaced evenly on each wheel. Hopefully I will get to head out to High Rock with Silas and whoever else to really give these things a go.

I went with memory foam too. Mainly because it appeared to be directed towards the crawling set up.
Still gotta trim the foam though, right?
I might try keeping my wheels sealed so a comparison can be made. Or should I just vent them & go ya think?

I really just depends on rigs weight and how the foams rebound...

I always start off stock (no cut foams, no holes in wheels, and no weights) then tweek till i hit something... :) but only do one thing at a time, or you may over do it, and once you go one direction, it cost money to go back! :)

I dont think I will end up cutting the memory anyways. I've heard cutting them defeats the purpose.

Mine were laying on the front porch when I got home from work. They look really cool, the memory foam is a little strange but seems like it will work great. I'll get 'em mounted up pretty quick.

I've got my fronts mounted backwards right now just to see if I can tell any difference.

I think those might be my next tire, but I'm thinking about going with M3's up front & M2's in the rear, both with memory foams.
BTW, everything that I've read about memory foams says to not cut them.

I've read about success with the M3/M2 combo front and rear.
Yep, not going to cut them.

I've got some Rockhammer Hybrid Memory Foams that I hope I will get a chance to try out this weekend.
They are a little taller and wider so I am hoping that they help control the sidewall during sidehill situations.
