Gonna bring the tennis balls as well... and even try my hand at scoring some things to get a better understanding of how it should work out... :)

Great idea. I defently think we should set up some courses and start easing our way into comp mode. :thumb:
since this is a fake comp i will bring my gun and shoot the loser in the leg instead of the head

I was looking at going to URE for the comp, but there isn't much info on it. I've never been to a comp and think I would like it. Don't know if I'll do any good, but you never know until ya try. I live in Kerenersville--which place is closer? I'm unsure on which place to go.

If you want to get a taste of a Comp then show up at this place (High Rock). Silas is going to set up some tennis balls and we are going to do sort of a fake Comp. We all are wanting to learn a little more before we show up somewhere looking like a bunch of fools.
I would guess High Rock is closer to you also.

They are almost exactly the same distance for ya... HRL is a bit closer.

I was going to URE too... but for 20 bucks to compete, thats a little steep for me.

Ok, Looks like I'm in. As long as the weather is good I'll be there. I'm going to bring a couple 1:6 Nylints too. Hope to see ya there. Also, are the rocks within walking distance. I charge off 12 volt and currently only use one battery. Just rebuilt my shocks and did some tire siping and I'm ready to test it out.

Yeah, it's only a couple hundred yards down to the crawl area from the parking lot. It's really sweet there, well worth the walk.

What time is everyone meeting there? I am at Ocean Isle right now doing some work my parent's place but heading back tomorrow. Depending on when everyone is planning on meeting (and BA4R is leaving) I am in for shooting film and photos, maybe wheel the Nylint a bit. It is a matter of time until the rear axle breaks.

Hey everyone;
It looks like the CRR comp is cancelled. I will try to find you guys some time tomorrow out this crawl.
It sounds great that we want to set up some courses. I really need to do a test run before the East Coast Championships.
Look forward to meeting some new people tomorrow (I will be in the ugly 4runner and will run a red and white Holmes Powerred Bug)

How stock is it? Definately do not plan to cut it loose to the offspring just yet.
I drove Lee's AX @ HRL last weekend and it seemed fairly easy to me. Sure, he's got a few up's. But you sell one of those truck's that you gotta posted and your in business with no big hit to the wallet. EBAY one of them suckers :thumb:

Loose dirt, mud, and hill climbs suck in RC crawling just as much as they do in 1:1s.
Fawking dam.
Good to meet everyone.
