Well we are slowly growing and thought we should find a common area that ncrcc can call home. If you vote other please post that location.

I would vote for HRL if I had been there. I hear it is pretty nice. I only get to go to Bullhole because it is so close to where I live. Its a 35 minute drive but it is the closest for me. High Rock is like an hour and a half. I am planning on going out to Bullhole this Sunday just because the weather is supposed to be nice. If I get any days off I would try to get out to some of the other spots everyone is talking about.

I voted other-BA4R's backyard since it is the only place I have been to so far. I don't think it is convenient to anyone except him and I though.

My backyard unfortunately can't be the stomping ground.

1. Not my house. Mom would kill me if 15 people were standing out there killing all the grass.

2. I won't be living there too much longer since I am leaving for school.

3. NCRCers couldn't go to there own stomping ground whenever they wanted since obviously we wouldnt be home all the time.

4. I think it is def a cool place to have in the backyard, but I think people would get tired of running the same thing over and over. HRL or Bullhole would have alot more places to explore.

All good points and I know that your backyard would never be a "stomping ground" but it is still the only place I have been so I felt like putting it out there. High Rock seems to be pretty popular so I am guessing it is a pretty nice place.

Im gonna say Pilot Mountain cause its my back yard, nice view, family oriented, provisions to camp or picnic, numerous places to crawl, ample parking, easy to find for one. We initially had a problem with the main park ranger especially since he didnt know what grown men were doin with toys on the mountain, but he's sent up the creek now on charges of embesslement so my friends and I have met his replacement and he's more sempathetic to the other uses of the park and has recently asked more questions on crawling himself so it seems we might have him hooked also. It usually takes 2 hours or more just to crawl around the knob and thats just one of the numerous places to get lost so to speak. Im down for any kind of crawl and so are my friends, counting me their are 8 locals that frequent Pilot that live as far off as clemmons and their always lookin for new people to go with.

I opted for HRL after doing there, and Bullhole. Bullhole was fun and easy to walk around, but I thought HRL had more to offer. Even the courses we had set, you could reposition the gates, in the same area, and have a whole new course.

I was going to vote but I dont have enough info yet to make a decision. I liked HRL , it has endless possibilities , the only problem I see with HRL would be people fishing and crack heads ...or crack heads fishing , and theres the other thing of ...if the dam is open the place where we crawled will be under water. I have never been to bullhole but the pics I have seen look like it isnt as challenging as HRL but I dont know. I think I will vote for HRL and BH could be our backup. (does the BH have shaded areas?) :jester:

The one thing I did notice at Bullhole, it was MUCH cleaner. The water even appeared(although I didnt get a close look) cleaner as well. Me being from the northern states (New Hampshire), I never saw water that, uhhhhhhh, murky.? Especially at a dam where it is usually being airated.
