In the competition talk forum I have a sicky post at the top...

They change every year, but I haven't seen the 09 rules out yet, so we are still following the 08 rules.

Changes for 09 will be limited. Two key points
Supers must have 16" to 18" wheel base.
Rules will state that all 4 tires have to go between the gate markers, or you will receive a gate penalty. Basically this is saying that the gate marker is the ball as well as any space above it.
The second rule will just mean I have to build courses a little differently.

Sounds like it can get complicated ,perpendicular to the surface?..what about side hill?..or un even surface?

I interpet that as no more gate straddling.

How about a hint?

The line is verticle, straight up regardless off terain contour.

in other words... no more floating... if you lift a tire over a gate and never touch it... its a gate. If you jump off a cliff and stradle the gate 2 feet above it... its a gate.

Some of the course will have to be a little easier and we will likely need to make some gate markers that have a height to them, like a flag.
