Has anyone ever used/made an E-maxx into a crawler? I seen some U-tube vids with e-maxxes on a crawler course. I have some E-maxx parts laying around doing nothing but catching dust. Thought about a project rig using some E-maxx parts! But My wife wants a RC something,(:jester::):rockmonkey:) but I was not sure what to get her. Her B-day is in June and sounds like a good present to get her!!!! But the first 3 RC vehicles I could Think of was Whelly King, E-maxx, and Axial RTR. What do U guys think of both questions?
Thanks in advance,
Buster:monkeyeye:

hey
Emaxx crawlers are hard to get right and get very costly way to quick. Building a clod based crawler wil be much cheaper, if you want to build a Super.
It is hard to go wrong with the AX-10, either kit or RTR. I got my wife a Stampede, she stil runs it today. SHe thinks that her driving makes her faster now so dont tell her that she has the following upgrades;
- Novak BL motor
- Big bearing upgrade all 4 corners
- Matched GP battery
- Metal gear servo
- stretched chassis
- Aloy shocks

I would say an ax-10 for out of the box capability. The first time I ran bull hole I was completely stock and was amazed at what it could take on.
I've got my daughter and wife a wheely king and just starting to convert it to a crawler and it is going to get a little pricey.
The AX-10 is for sure the best bang for the buck for 2.2 crawling... And to add to that it is very well engineered.

It doesn't have to be a crawler... just some thing to bash around. Although how fast is the axial in rock racing gearing? Could she bash around?

Just for bashing around and not crawling - I love the Traxxas Stampede. Tough as nails and just a lot of fun. It's 2wd so crawling is out of the question, but you're honestly not going to find something that is both a crawler and a basher - at least not one that can do both well.
I don't know that anyone here is going to have many opinions on the Axial RTR - they just went on sell recently and I don't think any of us have actually tried it yet.

I was thinking of going ahead and getting me a RTR this month, but if there are having to upgrade things the first few runs.... I know I'm rough on stuff, so I may just get the kit first. lol. I may as well get me a the new spektrum 3r also!!! lol! I went from $300 to over $500 in one reading of a post!:bash:
Oh well I guess that the way RC stuff seems to always be! Thanks for the post!:thumb: I gotta get up with you guys one weekend and checkout everyone in action!
