my son and i run budget built ax-10s. stock esc, controllers/recievers. we do have 55t motors and jr steering servos. got the ckrc stage 2 setup on the susp. not wild or comp rigs but still fun. i have been running a flipped stock battery plate, venom 3000 batterys with the deans connectors, and slid them under the plate above the tranny and motor to lower the center of gravity. it has worked well until now. we just got the proline tuber chassis which replaces the factory battery plate. really dont want to run the battery packs that high so i have been looking at the 6 cell axle saddle packs from tcs but they are only 1500mah. im considering lipos now. i plan to purchase a couple of slashes in the next 2-3 months and want a lipo for them. so thinking just buy some 2 cell lipos and use for both applications. any ideas or suggestions? thanks. todd.

i talked to one of the guys at the hobby stop in rock hill. found out i can only run the 2s lipos in the ax-10's w/ stock esc's and the slashes will need a larger lipo to run. gonna go that route as soon as i can fund it.

slash's can only run a 2s lipo with the XL5 as well...

but you'd be better off sticking to 1500mah saddle packs (6 or 7cell) or even a small lipo pack and just run it on the axle and move the servo to the side. a local budy of mine just got 2 ckrc 1500mah lipo's on his slingshot rig....and he, literally, ran for over an hour before it shut off on him....i'm most likely ordering mine this week as well.
