Well done, you make us proud !!!!
Was it a nice little warm-up for Natty's?
When you get the chance, please give us some details. What were the course's like, how could you have done better, changes to rig, etc. That kinda stuff maybe.
See anything that surprised you? Other than the ridiculous VP merry-go-round perhaps.

Silas and Mike are already qualified for the 'Worlds'. I guess you can look at the Last Chance Qualifier as Nationals for this year.

Watching the 1.9's run on RCC live video feed. A guy just stood in front of the camera with his back to it for a while wearing an RCCrawler shirt and there in plain site was the T1E logo along with other logo's. How much did you pay for that product placement?

I meant it as more of an "advanced" sort of practice/warm up for the BIG event.
Big names, big vendors, bigger crowds, more eyes on you, somewhere other than the typical NC/TN type of terrain that most are used to.
Whats the difference between Worlds and Nationals? I have not heard of the "Crawler" Worlds.

Hey Shocker
The event last year in Moab was the Nats. Everything has changed this year.
- new location
- new people running it
- new sponsors (and lack of old ones)
- new additional way of qualifying (last Chance Qualifier on Thursday before the event)
- More courses (top 5 in 2.2 will have run 14 courses over two days)
- More expensive per class
and to top it all off, they moved the entire event 2 weeks earlier and 900 miles further away.
And it now called 'The Proline world Finals'

Hey guys... checking in...
Yesterday was a blast!! Hardest courses ever ran for me. I did not finish 3 courses and still snagged 13th... but the one course I did finish, I had a -6 on it... so that helped!!
This is the stickiest, roughest rock I have ever seen. Eats panther softs like the rubber wasn't even there. The rocks where so sticky that they started to grove. By the end of the day, you can see black marks on where all the lines where, but because of this, it got slick.
Rover Blues are the local's tire of choice, and a lot of folks ran the whites. I stuck with panthers.
Great to meet a lot of the west coast guys!! Ty (Turtle) built the corses, and they where nice!!

We donated 2 2.2 chassis and 1 MRC chassis to get that. They didn't have a dollar figure really on it, but we felt this was a big enough event to aid in sponsorship on!!

Thanks guys! It was the hardest course's to date for me. I will add more when I'm rested up but for now I will say this. VP showed up Friday night with there new wheels and I was a kid in a candy store! I mounted some HB's on them (I know i've said I hate them, but they were the tire of choice.) and couldn't wait to run them. The wheels are 1.7oz a piece, I added 6oz to each front and left the back like it was. It pulled the back up the ledges easier then anything I've used.
I LOVE THEM...................:thumb:

Mikey Mike looks like you have the inside scoop on some rims that I am interested in. Lets here the down and dirty, or at least pics of the light rims from VP please. Would be nice in an AX10 offset too.
BTW it looks like NC & T1E was well represented with Mike in 8th and Silas in 13th. Gratz boys.

First off, these are Prototypes... and the production version could vary in looks from these. The offsets are hot as well, and we got 4 different sizes to play with.
With the offsets you can acheive 10 inches outside tire to outside tire (panthers) in the rear, and 10.25 on the front, on Berg axles. 2 of the hexes should work great for HR/AX10 keeping it about the same as what was mentioned above for the Berg. This compairs to the Pro Comps coming in at around 10.5 inches outside tire to outside tire.
These things are great!!! and to hold one, you would almost swear you didn't even have anything in your hands if your eyes where closed...
I will let Mike talk about performance, but between him and the 2 texas guys running them in the rear... these will be the next wheel of choice for anyone serious about winning.

Thanks for the review Silas. I have been looking for a light wheel and its awesome that these are aluminum and lighter than the delrin wheels I have been looking at. Now that I think about it...is that 1.7oz with rings, screws, and offsets?
For anyone else:
The lightest wheel that can take the abuse in the hex area that I found was the Eritex Comp Solid was 3.7oz. The old VP revolver is 5.1oz. So the new 1.7oz is sweet.

What is the black vertical strap/link/whatever that looks to maybe be mounted to the inside of the front shocks running down?
