Ditch the trophy idea, make it a prize (hobby related gift cert or something) that is worth something to everyone(not a dig, not a trophy, etc.), and get some of the locals to commit to coming and you may see a few from NC. It has got to be worth the 3 hour drive for any of us to show. We have plenty of places closer to crawl if we are gonna be the only ones there. Not giving you a hard time, I know you are trying, but it is not worth the 3 hour drive if I am gonna be one of only 2-3 people there.
Good luck.

Once your short course track is done, let people know they are welcome to bring their Slash etc...

Well, I have not posted the date yet and I will come up with something. It looks as if it will be the 26th. How about cash payout to the top 3? I also have 3 new chassis that I could give away! All I want to do is get this place going. When you spend thousands of dollars on a site, you kinda want it to go over.
BTW The off-road track is just about ready. All I need to do is fine tune with the jumps and put down the pipe. Hopefully we will get this done this week.

Cash payout is good.....everyone can use cash. Even a gift cert. to your shop would be good if you want to payout with those. That way it is bringing people to your shop to spend them and they cost you less because of your margin on the parts..........
Chassis are fine but again(like the dig units), not useful to all. I for one could care less because I am not going to switch from the chassis mfr that I currently run. A chassis would just be something I need to sell and that is a pain.
Also, when planning times and everything, make sure you take into account the drive for some guys. I for one will not go to an event that starts after 12 on a sunday 3 hours away because I know I will not make it home till 8-9 at night and I have to work at 6 am Monday morning.
Just a couple thoughts for you. Hope it helps
Might be able to make it the 26th if you can draw some of the SC/GA guys out there again so there is a decent group there.

I do not blame u. I would not come either. I like the idea of starting early. I might do this this time and see what happens. I think I will go for the 26th and start it at about 9:00 am. I will do my best on both big boards and try to get as many aas possible.

See if you can get any interest and I may be able to ride down with a couple from our area. I will keep an eye on the RCC thread to see if you have some interest.

I like your earlier start time of 9:00am. I'm going to try and make this event. I got to check the work schedule.
