I'm thinking of upgrading to 2.4 GHz. I currently have a AX-10 that soon will have VF dig unit. I am also going to build a Twin Force based super sometime in the future ( when I have more $$$$). My question is should I get the DX6i now and just learn to use a stick radio, or can the DX3R be programmed to control a super? Thanks for any advice.

You can't use the dx3r with fws, the third channel is not self centering, you will be able to use it for dig. Just set the end points for the servo hope that helps.

I thought the DX3R could be set up with a three position switch while DX3.0 could not and the old DX3 could be modified to have it. Is that incorrect?

hey

The DX3r has a self centering option on the third Channel. I was messing with it with Kamakaze's rig at the ECC.

The problem would be that you can not run seperate ESCs and independent 4ws.

Sticks are better for Supers unless you the route of the Nomadio (4 channels +) But I have not heard of anyone be happy with theirs. Nor have I seen one at a comp where the driver did not have to reset something.

So the short answer is to have a competative Super you need the DX6 or DX6i. (I do not know what makes the second better, just that it is newer)

I use a DX7 with a Ar6100. I did a throttle return mod. It works great.
