New guy here - I work for an RC shop in wilson, and I have an AX10. There's about 10-15 of us around town that has been crawling at various locations, so we built a course at the hobby shop. I am organizing an event coming up in the near future, but I wanted to bring out some folks from the area to get a good crowd. I have not set a date yet because I was interested in drawing a crowd. We don't have a huge course, maybe 40 feet by 6 feet, but it's all rocks and concrete slabs, plenty of room to have good comp runs, and it is challenging for the vehicles. Any input from you would be great, or if you want to check out the course I'll try and get some pics on here. Thanks!

Info on shop:
It's called the Antique Barn. If you need directions the website is theantiquebarn.net - not a fancy site, we've been mostly oval for quite some time. We would like to have comps on Saturdays or Sundays, depending on everybody's schedules. Not weekly deals, but maybe once a month or so, cook on the grill, cash prizes and parts, all the good comp stuff. We've also got a place called Battle Park nearby right off the Tar River. Crawled there this weekend, got about 60' elevation change from the beginning of the run to the end. Lots of ledges, tight turns and steep uphill climbs. Thinking of doing a comp there too, or at least a free run get togeather deal. I'd love to head out and get with you guys too, I'll keep up on your meets. Any other questions, feel free to drop a line.

Your the guy that had the Clod crawler right? I stopped in to get some Pede parts some months ago and we stood and talked for a while. It's good to see that there are peoples on the flat side of carolina that like to crawl. I'm gonna need to stop in check yall out again. It's been too long.

Yeah - I actually saw the guy that got it. I asked him if he wanted to sell it back and he replied "for $500"! I told him I'd just machine a new chassis and find some axles. At least I have the axial to work on. Made links and all. Working on lazer cut chassis plates, beadlock rings, and I'm also making 3 sets of aluminium wheels. For some reason I can't see paying for something when I can custom make it. Good to hear from you, stop by and see me.
And Battle Park is in downtown Rocky Mount. Just don't go in after dark.

Hey Wicked, I'll be up towards Wilson probably next weekend, can you find out if yall have any stampede metal yokes? And Jato driveshafts? Gonna be dropping a bill on a new scaler. And your aluminum wheel thing, if your serious, and you can make them, I can find myself interested in a set of 1.9 bullet hole style. And if your really interested, maybe a few more sets.

As for the course at the Antique Barn. Its out side about 60-70 ft long about 8 ft wide not bad for a new start. Its a work in progress.
But as for Battlepark its off the hook. Its located in Rocky Mt. NC just off HWY 64 on Benvanue Rd. If you come into Rocky Mt from I95 take the HWY 64 Exit E. and then go to the 4th exit which will be the Benvanue Rd exit, at the bottom of the ramp look straight across in front of you and you will see the sign and entrance to the park. take the service road to the first entrance and go to parking area at Gazebo. There are several other parking areas but this is the closest to the crawl area. If you come in from the Raleigh area you will already be on Hwy 64. when you cross I95 just follow the direction above 4th exit after crossing 95.
I crawl with Waggy all the time and we are good friends you guys should try to make a Battlepark trip. Its well worth it i think.
