I have 3 Axial AX10's and all of them weigh 5 lb. 8 oz. now in crawl trim are they heavy weights or lite weights. They seem to work well, but if i could add some flab and get them work'en better or put them on a diet to help performance then I'm up for what ever works.
What should a good 2.2 comp rig weigh. I can add or take away 2-3 oz. or more to help with performance.
I know the weight makes a big difference in the way the tires perform, so I was trying to get a good starting point and find out what you guys think. The folks over at RCC act like this is an "Area 51" subject and don't want to descuss it so, I thought I'd ask you guys.

Really just got to work at it and see where it works best for you, I run 7oz in each front tire and 4oz in each rear plus I have weights on the front axle, I have a few buddies that rag on me cause I still run a 6 cell pack in the stock location, but I like run time so Im keeping it there I get almost 2 hours out of a 4200mah pack when there only getting 45 minutes. I will post a pic of my weights for you to see.

My entire rig is about 7lbs. I run about 3ozs up front in each wheel and 1.5ozs in each on the back.

I run weight up front on the axles as well as inside the tire. I use a 2100 mah 2s lipo and get like 5 hrs runtime. They all ragged on me to for going with the lipo said, man don't do that the 1500 nicads are all you need. The lipo is a waste of $$$ but every 30-40 min they have to change packs. they now run the split pack on the axles but the run time for them sucks. Our trucks just keep on going.
I figured that 6-7 lb would be about right for most 2.2's so I'm not far off. Our trucks work really good now and I was just seeing if I could make it better and how close I was to the weight of everyone else. Most people pick our trucks up a say wow that thing is heavy but they only weigh 5lb. 8 oz. Running the lipo is a big part of the liter weight.

I've got 4 oz in each front wheel, and 2 in the back - plus a 7 cell pack on the front. I am happy with the performance of the rig, and the punch of the 7 cells is great, but the runtime blows - 45 mins to 5 hours is no contest... However, all other electrics get a max of 15 mins, so I take that into perspective. I would go lipo if I could find an 8.4v pack. Anybody know of one??
