Check it out. I'll be racing in the stock class in a stock 80's s-10 blazer with a welded rear and 31's. I buggy I finished building recently will be in the D class. Should be good times. They build a huge rock garden and its open each day and there having a crawl on Sunday i think. I'm planning on bringing my axial and maybe the savage. We should make a showing for the r/c crowd and provide some halftime shows in between racers. Maybe we will have a mini rc style rock race up kodak. Heard that--I got lipos on the way.

Well, I'll be there. Only one more week left ! I'll be in B class -stock modified. Team Abused, running my international scout II. If you see my truck come over and say HI, it should be the only scout there. I'm bringing my ax10 also to keep me amused while waiting for my runs. URE DEATH RACE --- I like the sound of that. LOL !

Big ideas with little follow through and overcrowding are going to be the biggest downfall. Too many minds threw stuff into the hat and then left them there, waiting until the end to sort it all out. I wish everyone the best but there are a lot of things that are going in favor of making this entire event a disaster.
-Alcohol in a dry county
-Parking a long ways away from event
-Tight trails with spectator areas right alongside
-The majority of the people, and rigs they bring, that come to Uwharrie are not built to handle the abuse of regular wheeling, let alone with speed as a factor. I mean think back to some of the breaks that you see regularly around there.
I predict someone breaks something in their steering and goes completely out of control sandwiching some drunk guy between the stinger and a tree.
Eldorado Outpost is not sponsoring the event in case anyone hasn't noticed. I asked how they felt about the event and all I got was, "No comment." and a slight smirk.
I hope all goes off well and I am proved wrong. Not just for the people there and the event but for Uwharrie itself.

well URE 4x4cross was a big hit. I met a ton of great people ans saw a ton of great rigs. And the best part I only managed to rip off a right front shock mount and bust a right front axle. I got some great pics also. http://s289.photobucket.com/albums/ll204/toytech93/

I like the rig. Saw it in Crawl. I like the motorized airplane landing lights in the front fenders.

Nope. Issue 14 has an article and tech specs about his rig. I don't think Issue 15 is out yet. Maybe it will cover the URE event.
