To Post events, please keep them pretty consistent to what we have done in the past. I would like Times (or atleast a TBA), location, link to a google map or other map to the location, and should be posted through the calendar (not a direct post in this forum).

First click on the link in the header that says "Calendar".

Once you get to the screen that has the calendar of events on it, you will see some links to the right that says "Add New Event".

Select which event you would like to create, Single, All Day Event if its just going to be one day, Ranged Event if it spans over a few days, and Recurring Event if it happens on the same day every month/week/year.

Once you select which you want to do, then fill out the needed info.

Once you have filled out the info needed, you will se some options below the save event buttons. The main option to notice is the RSVP option. This allows folks to say Yes, Maybe, or No. This will help plan on the number of people will show or may show or won't show.

Once you select your finishing options just hit the Save Event button and your done...

Now this will also post a thread in the Upcoming Events forum, ready for people to RSVP and post agianst. Once the date has past, we will lock the thread and create a new thread in the Past Events with the same title, there you can post links to video, photos, and razz folks for loosing!! :)

Enjoy!

No biggy... I just know that sometimes it could be harder to figure it out... I think that this post would help, and it would also make the calendar feature of the site a bit more useful for all... :)

Rules are here to help keep the site uniform. I want to make it easy and uniform so that anyone coming to the site can see the flow of events, and know how to read it all.

It also allows for the RSVP system to work properly. This way, as the event organizer, you can see who is coming and who isn’t and have a better understanding for planning purposes. Posting all the info requested just makes it easier for folks to know where to go, what to do, and who to see when you are throwing an event…

Not getting onto anyone, its just hard to correct once its done wrong. I can either move the post to the off topic or delete it, but I can’t merge it to a calendar entry after the fact (dates on the posts makes it tricky in the order folks reply to everything).
