This was posted on rcc been up for a while...IMO it's pretty awesome looking for a 2.2 comp base rig. I know that more of us here are from the 1:1 wheeling world, so not being a shafty may have some draw backs in opinion.

Hey that truck sucks, no one but me should buy it.

Actually, they are very impressive. I have driven them with dual brushed motor with a Rizzo dig set up. It stuck to rocks like crazy.

I think that this will be the future of the 2.2 class, unless they get excluded via rules.

are the powers that be trying to limit the number of radio channels you can run ?

I really think that there should start to be some discussion of breakdowns now of the classes... Supers are Supers...and not much there to discuss... like modifieds... they have not restrictions (but maybe limit wheel base and such)

Then a limited stock class (2.2) with things such as certian tires, motor (turns), gears and such should be introduced... I know that CRR is doing the sport class... something like that is good for novice or folks that just don't care to advance in the sport.

Then you should have some level of maybe a shafty class and an axle drive(motor) based class...

I am sure they have to be looking at things like this right now...

hey there

Limiting the channels will do nothing to keep out the OCM. You can run rear and front dig with just the third channel and micro switches.

I am not sure if splitting the 2.2 class makes sense.

Other then 'because its what I have now', why would you not want to run something like the OCM axles?

I would run them.

I would run them also. I think the driveshafts are a week point. Having the motors on the axles just make sence from a competition point of view. I like what I have now but this has to be a better setup no question. Lower CG right out of the box, not to mention that the F/R dig set up could be done with lil effort.

The only real downsize I see with this is it puts the entry level guy out... Your spending a bit more now to get up and running... but out side of that, it does make more sense having the motor low and on the axles...

If an entry level guy has a chance against your fully built comp rig (shafty or not) you need to go in th back yard and practice.

I think the CRR sport class takes care of this. By having no dig, we can also make it shafty only or call it single motor.

Its a club class only...not sanctioned so to say. They just added a class that can't have a dig... plus all other 2.2 class rules apply...

Not sure if they have any info listed where the public can see it on their site...but I have read a little here and there on CRR site about it.
