it would have been better to see it drive off after being driven on

That would be better... or drive the Z71 forward off the rig instead of backing off it...

YA I think it would have ended bad if he had driven off the front instead of backing off.

I seen that video a couple months back and thought the same thing then as now. Why would you do that. Was it some kind of promo for the chassis. What kind of chassis is it anyway. Yardart could use one of those for his Wheelie King. It looks really cool.

I think that is how RCSolutions advertise the cages, etc. I had seen something down with their rollcage's in the same Z71. Either that or his I.Q. is 71.

I wouldnt even sit on my trucks. :rockmonkey:

Yeah, but that some homemade jobby, that's not an RCSolutions (http://www.rc-solutions.com/) rollcage. I can see doing it as a marketing ploy, but I just don't get the need to show that on a hand made frame.

Everybody calm down, it's just Ralph! That's one of the oldest tuber's out there. He's famous over on rccrawler.com. JasonInAugusta owns it now which is who ran over it.

This thread is a bit old and concluded but I just thought I would respond. JIA is a great guy that has a tremendous amount of knowledge about the RC hobby. He has done a tremendous job of promoting our side of the hobby in his works as a writer for RC Driver magazine and on RCC as one of the forums oldest most helpful members. He is a great guy that was merely showing the durability of his tuber as there were many discussions as to how durable it was when he first built it. I have crawled with Jason many times and I am confident that if any of you guys were to meet you him you would feel just as I do about him.

JIA and Ralph are true RC Rockcrawling Legends! :rockmonkey:

The back story of why this was filmed;

A chassis builder (if you know who I am talking about, please just leave his name out of it) sold some chassis on RCCrawler. Some people did not receive their chassis in a timely fashion. When they were received they felt the chassis was not the quality that they expected. One customer realized that he did not want the chassis and was not going to get cash back. So he made a statement by crushing it with a full size vehicle.

Some people on RCCrawler responded that there is no tuber out there that can survive that test. JIA disagreed and delivered the proof. The Tuber "Ralph" is welded cromoly tubing and has been in RC Driver many times.

JIA was 2006 National Super Champion and Ralph was not damaged in anyway by this stunt. JIA is hosting a Scaler Event at Pointes West in Augusta next weekend.
