I've seen a few trucks lately with weight over the rear axle, like a reciever or a battery or something. Isn't the weight supposed to be on the front? should I weight my rear wheels like the front?

I think some weight on the back helps with downhills, but most of mine is on the fronts. I know of a guy that runs a RX pack on the rear servo mount (no bec on speed control) and that's the only place fot it to go. I don't know of anybody purposly weighting their rear axles, but they might know something I don't.

you do want to weight it to help hold the rear corners down... But unlike true 1:1 wheeling... its only a little as most of the weight is up from to help pull the rig.
