Been racing on-road for many years but my job has kinda put a stop to staying on top of things. I've been drawn to crawling for the fact that I can load up the truck and head out to a area and have fun, with out having to worry about being at a certain place at a given time to race.
I live in Mebane and was wondering if there is any where to play/practice. I dont think I'm ready to go all out and compete yet, but would also be cool to go watch guys complete...
Thanks,
Steven

Welcome to the site. I'm just down the road from you! That is the nice thing about crawling. You don't have to have a track. Go out and go anywhere...

Thanks for the warm welcome... I think I've made a good choice in getting a crawler, due to the fact I drive a truck and move crawler cranes for a living so I can throw the crawler into the truck and pretty much have fun with it any where... I havent been out to any of the locations I've seen listed on here just been playing in the back yard, but I've been watching to see when you guys are meeting up and if I'm in town I'll try and make it out to join ya'll...
Chris - What's the name of the shop in W/S?? My Company does alot of work in the the Greenville area, in fact we finished up the BMW expansion not long ago...
Any ways I look forward to meeting as many people in this hobby/sport as possible...

Yeah I'll get up with some time in the near future... I've been messing around the house with this thing and I'm hooked on finding new things to crawl over or at least try to clear... I'm wanting to turn the Crawler king into a scaler, I'm just not hapy with the way the frame looks... So any ideas on how to go about this will be a great help...

Well I'm hoping that the horse trading I have going on tomorrow will work out. If it does I'll have a scale 2.2 and the beginnings of a 2.2 comp. Keeping my fingers crossed and looking forward to hitting the rocks with something more suited to crawling then a converted wheely king.
