I have the money saved up, and think I will be getting it as soon as KC Hobby in Archdale gets them in. It has a 3 position 3rd channel, which will be sweet for a DIG... :)

Then its on to the VF DIG.

So I read up on it a good bit more. Seems like people are saying that this is the only way to go if you are looking to spend around $300. Night and day performance and really easy to program to your needs.

My question is do you need to buy a receiver for it or do most/all of the radios come with a stock one? Looks like you have to spend another $100 on the receiver.

Is it worth getting a charger for the radio? Or do batteries last long enough to just replace them?

Just found it for $269 over at Ultimate Hobbies.

I just picked up the 3r for 279. It does come with one receiver. I talked to a guy tonight that bought 2 DX3s and got the dual receiver kit (2 receivers per kit) for 225, and then kept the receivers, sold the transmitter for 75 bucks. He runs like 15 different models... so one radio is nice.

I don't know of too many if any kits that don't come with a receiver.

Batteries last me a few weeks as long as I don't leave it on. I have a bad habbit of leaving the radio on and forgetting.

Unlike Shane I was impressed with your new hand bling. :D

BTW Silas, Shane showed me how to program your old radio to my ESC and it runs 10x better. Thanks for hooking me up and getting me crawling today.

Thanks Shane also. :D

I got my DX3R this weekend and there is a promo going on now until the end of March I believe. With the purchase of any Spektrum radio you get one free extra receiver via mail in with proof of purchase. Or if you buy two extra receivers they will give you two more free of the same model receiver.

Did you send yours in yet Silas??? Putting mine in the mail tomorrow.

This radio is very cool... However I am having a problem with it remembering the binding sometimes and have to re-bind it..
