Hey guys I am not sure if it matters but I will be bringing two of my buddies with me on Sunday to compete as well. They have never entered a comp before but I am sure you guys will be hospitable enough to break em' in right. :p
Neither of them are really internet guys but you can add them to the RSVP list as Matt and Donnie if you would like.

One thing that I want to add to this comp is that we need to stay clear of the comp area until DDS is ready for us to run. We can all just chill in the shade and play in the rock garden area just before the ledges, but lets keep from getting in his way and let him lay out the course.
If anyone that isn't competing but coming out wants to assist him, please let us know... Either DDS or myself can give you the info on what we are looking at doing.

Wow, it's gonna be hot on Sunday. The weather guessers are saying 98*, we should maybe run anything out in the sun first and migrate to the shade. I'm an old fat guy, PLEASE let's migrate to the shade. :thumb:

I am going to pick up a case of water and bring a cooler i think... its going to be nasty hot it looks like!

Is this place close to Greensboro. I'm trying to get the other truck finished so I can take it with me if I go. I been working late the past 2 days and thats been putt'en a damper on my buildtime. I have not talked to Waggy all week but I'll try to get up with him later today to see if he still wants to go. He might be going fishing. We'll see.

I'd rather be in the heat playing than the air working, believe me. I've been at this almost 20years, I'm pretty burned out. I'd rather come in last at the comp than work the whole weekend....

Not really...
If you go over the big bridge and pass the dam, you have gone to far.
There are 3 places to park around the dam... one is on the right over the bridge, another on the left over the bridge, and the one you want is on the left before you get to the bridge.
From the bridge, you can see the HRL Dam plain as day..... I think from 85 there is one other bridge over part of HRL, and its just past it a few miles.
You cant really miss it...
and look for a green Cherokee with Silas Swaim Photography in the back glass!

Its not hard... Look at the sat view to the direction I posted on Page 2 of this thread... zoom out a bit and follow it. you will see the land marks that will let you know you're near!!
