You're the only other person I see using the flatirons besides me. Like them??

^^^^ well yes I love them. Considering they are the first set of tires I have bought since I bought the kit ...and the lizards suck...yeah love them:thumb:they are the M3's and they are really really soft , I have some chunking on the outer lugs already.I have had them for about a week and I try to play @ least 2 hours a day , I hope they last .....

Waggy's not the only other person running the Flatirons. I have a set as well and like them alot but I'm still working on the foams to get the right combo. This could be the tire to beat with the right foams, but I've not found that magic setup yet. They are still on the drawing board as we speak.

Your truck looks good and the rock pile you have is really nice. If this is at your house you have a tramendous advantage with that kind of test facility. You should learn quite a bit with that kind of stuff to crawl on daily.:thumb:

Thanks guys for the nice replies...I do like my garden its expanding every weekend:thumb:. It takes a lot of hard work to get all those to the house but its worth it. I hope to get good enough to compete , i mostly do this alone with the wifey watching . I need to get out there and run with people better than me so I can learn. Setting up your own course is fun and you can make it very challenging if you want to.I have already figured out I really need a dig setup BAD....

Your truck looks good, got a question for you though. What's your battery set up? Is that a 4 front, 2 rear subc split?

I hope we don't get to the point that a dig is required to be competitive....:(

My battery set up is a standard 1800MiAh battery that is split 4/2 I couldnt figure out how to mount my battery with my new body without raping the body and I didnt want to buy new bats so I just took them apart :D...I am charging one right now...so if all goes well it wont explode or anything.
As for the front dig....i simply cant make tight turns on my courses that I make out...I make them very hard , the lines are sometimes impossible without backing up 100 times to get a better angle , I sometimes can use the rocks to pivit around but other places might not give me that advantage...plus the dig is super cool, I just have to get my Dx3R from KC's ....but thats later I just ordered me a Tekin FXr today:beer: cant wait to be able to let off the trigger on a hill and not go screaming away :p

I don't think you need a dig to be competitive... you just have to be able to outdrive the other guy with it! Or make a course with all nice wide turns.

I just posted that exact same statement yesterday Lee.

Your truck looks like it crawls real nice. And the pics are very good.

Got any nicknames for it yet?

"Milky" and WonderBread" come to mind. :thumb:

HAHAHA...havent really thought about naming it:jester:....I like the idea about being able to out drive the "other" guy. If and I say IF I go with a dig it will be one of the last things I buy...the dig itself isnt that much money but that DX3R that I want to go with it is...:p...I am still running on stock electrics....except for motor. I hope that once my FXR comes in that it will help.

Thank for the compliments on my little "milky" I think it crawls great but...I have nothing to compare it to. I read a post somewhere that nOObs think there crawlers are the badest things around till they meet up with peps with comp rigs and really see how its done...There are some guys @ KC's that have crawlers but I havent got a chance to meet up with them..or anybody for that matter. I hope that I can make some of the comps soon to see how things are played and to test my skills.

sry I type to much....

The Dig was the last thing I bought. I tought myself how to drive the truck with out it first and as I went along I learned how to set the truck up different ways to get it to do what I wanted it to do. I don't use my dig half the time, but I do have one now if I need it. and I have seen times when if I had one I could have shaved off a couple points.

I was not the first to get a crawler either. several guys had gotten them months before i did. I got into the crawlers because my son desided he wanted one after seeing some of the other guys around here run theirs. I have been told by one of the other guys that everyone around here is gunning for me because my trucks work really well most of the time, and I have good stuff. I take that as a complament because I have alot of hours on the bench, and in the rocks making them work the way they do. And anyone will tell you I'll help anyone that needs it. Its just more fun for me that way. I hate to see a man down.

So hang with it man you'll get it down after a while. You seem to be off to a good start:thumb:

ELEMENT

thanks for the compliments on the pics...and the Tekin is very nice, i dont really have anything to go by since that is the first ESC I have ever bought . Its very easy to program , the letters on the esc that show you what you are adjusting are a tad small but i am blind so it may just be me...but having a drag brake is just priceless...and the smoothness of the Tekin is very nice , I dont know how I could do anything before I installed it...i am soooo spoiled now..:p

I will get to test it out this weekend @ the comp..looking forward to it and I am bringing my camera pro with me to take lots of pics :thumb:
