I am new to rc crawling cycleeric has been helping me along the way with what stuff to purchase.
Purchased so far
XR-10 kit
T1E rockshow SS chassis and links
Hitec HS-7950TH Servo
2 Holmes hobbie BR-XL ESC's
Castle Creations BEC
2 Brood 35t hand wound motors(from Eric )

RC4WD hardened gears
1 set of Sedona tires
1 set of boss claws
I am putting together a list of stuff from vanquish products ( transmission cases, knuckles, front and rear link mounts, chubs , and lock outs
Question on wheel hubs what size should I run front and rear planning on ordering vanquish slw wheels
I live in Denver,NC but I work offshore in louisana as a subsea robotics technician so I will be back home in two weeks and will post pics as I start this build but I would like to go ahead and get everything ordered b4 I get home so I can get it together ASAP
Thanks,
Matt
First off welcome to the site. On my xr 10 I'm running 350 hubs up front with 475 hubs in the back, but some run 475 front with 600 in the rear. It depends it you run narrow or wide. It wouldn't hurt to order all 3 sizes, 2 of each to see how you want to run them. You can always sell the ones you don't use.

Welcome to the board. I think most people use double Duce 5.5 foams

Looks like you need shocks also. Most of us are running axial scx-10 aluminum body scale shocks w/ losi mini-t rear springs

Andy I went to place my order for my bec this morning and Holmes hobby is out of stock on the they do however have them in stock at tower hobbies But tower doesn't give you the open of choosing the output voltage do you have or does anyone else have the ability to set the voltage or do I need to go ahead and buy The field programmer or pc link?

Just pick up the BEC and we will program it locally. No need to have it prgrammed when shipped.
You can get one from Anderson R/C in Thomasville and he can program it for you. Buy local whenever you can.

I keep an extra set of T1E front & rear lower links, an extra set of rear uppers since mine are just delrin tube, extra rod ends, shock spring cups, extra nuts, bolts and screws, etc.

Well finally got my crawler running only took about a week to break it. I had a bearing come apart in the transmission causing my to wear out a set of RC4WD gears so I just placed a order from vanquish for a 2 motor plates and transmission housing with the bigger bearing and another set of gears. Hopefully that will fix my issues the only problem now is I am at work for three more weeks until the 30th and all I can do is stare at my crawler.:(

Well the bright side is that you can take it apart faster next time it breaks.

Are you going to run the Proline Chisels? It looks like your suspension setup is way different than mine but I'm having a hard time getting them to stick. I'm wondering if they need a break-in period like the Sedonas do.

Not really sure how well they will work tomorrow will be my first comp. I have ordered a set of slw v3's and a set of sedonas they haven't arrived yet is the only reason I am running the chisels.

Matt I dont think you realize that you bought Berg wheels and I think they would fit my Berg alot better than your XR :thumb:
Lucky7487

Got them put together vented and installed (Eric) I could only imagine how wide that berg would be with 475 and 600 hubs. I'll be home this weekend and next we will have to get together and go practice somewhere whenever your schedule permits mine is wide open
