Nice rig... love the cut work done on the foams... how and what did you use to do such?

Thanks for the compliment. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and especially the way it performs. It's a really nice kit.

Believe it or not, I cut the foams with a stone bit in my Dremel. I had to run it at really high speed and draw it toward me, cutting with the back edge of the stone. It shaves off nice clean little slices. I used two passes down the center then Ved the channel out with scissors. The holes were drilled with the same stone, strangely when you push it into the foam it cuts like a hole saw, it leaves a plug of foam. I pushed it half way through the flipped the foam and pushed it through the other side. Then I just had to pull the plug out.

I just finished up the real first round of mods on my AX10 here's a few pics. Still need to add 20mm buttons at the lower chassis connection, I didn't have any on hand. I ran it in the back yard a little and I think I'm going to like the new configuration. I will have to get use to the lower clearance though.

Did a quick little mod to the tranny output shafts, added a couple of drill dimples so the set screws won't slip anymore (thanks Kelly):

Just a heads up.....

I was running those spacers on the outside of the shaft like you have it now, and two of them expanded and compressed themselves down (or in your case up) onto the shock rod end.

You may not have this problem, but it may be worth it to look into some sort of washer between the spacer and the rod end.

Well after the first run on the new mods yeasterday I'm extremely happy. The truck performed great and the COG is definitlely lower. Also, the lower belly clearance wasn't as much of an issue as I assumed, beacuse of the lower COG the truck just seemed a lot less tippy. Hey I didn't bust my butt this time either, so I guess I was a little less tippy myself. :D
