Pilot Mountain Pay Comp [Archive]

Think we will be doing a 2 dollar buy in comp at Pilot Mountain. The USRCCA (http://www.ncrccrawlers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5) rulles will apply.

Meet at 10:30 and comp will be at 11:00am (this should give the charlotte guys time to get there). If you feel we need to make it a bit later to allow more time, let me know.

From the parking lot head down to the Picnic shelter (away from the nob) and you will see the crawl spot 100 yards on the right. There will be a split level parking lot at the top of the mtn, choose the loser section. In that section you will see a set of stairs right in the center (near the marker in the above link) that is where the trail is to the crawl spot.

There are grills, so lets bring food to cook... up to you to bring what you want to eat if your eating.

There will be a 2 dollar buy in...

1st 50%

2nd 30%

3rd 20%

These are rough percentages, and we will round up to the .25 cents. If 6 or less show... Winner take all!

Would I be correct in guessing that the terrain there is loose rocks with lots of traction and sharp edges ranging in all sizes.

Hey should we crosslink this comp on the rccrawler.com forum under the NC section to get a better turn out or do you only want NCRC boys. I dont mind either way. I just check in there every so often and there are usually no new posts anyway.

I talked to him yesterday and he wont have the berg for the comp but I still think he is going to get one. I told him if he gets a berg he better go all out and get a stick chassis and li-po to go with it.

Is there anyone from the eastside side close to Raleigh going ??? I'm in rocky mount, its a 3 hour drive. I'm hoping I might be able to carpool with someone. I've even thought about drive my motorcycle with my crawler in my backpack. But,10-12 lbs. pulling on my shoulders for 3 hour is not worth it.

Element has me scared,not sure if I will make it. I spent 3hrs last night in the emergency room. Just have to see if I feel ok...everything is ok here just some personal issues I need to take care of before I venture to far from home.

I hear you, I made a bad choice about a puddle on a course that I had built at a comp and messed up an esc.

Hope your stuff dries out. I had a TXT go completely under water, upside down, my Super Rooster and my Novak XXL receiver both came back to life. I did blow them out with WD40. (That is actually what that product was made for 'water displacement formula #40).

I was up there with nutbuster today doing some testing, and then it all came to a stop when the rain hit. We was all most half way around the knob when it started raining, we ran like hell to get back to the truck all of our stuff aka JUNK got covered in water. Well hope everone that is planing can make it sunday looks like its going to be a great turn out.
