I was looking through RCC and just stumbled on a thread that was talking about tire cleaner that made them sticky.... does anybody use this stuff? oes it actually make a difference? It seems that it would just collect dirt quicker..any thoughts?

Personally, I feel like washing them and/or soaking them in full strength Simple Green helps a lot. Tom think's it probably because it gets rid of the oils that come to the surface of the rubber. I can certainly tell a difference over the same same rocks when I do use it and don't. It also doesn't make them sticky. I wouldn't use regular RC tire compound, it gets really sticky and would pick up a ton of dirt.

x2... a good degreaser house hold cleaner works... I use Orange Clean spray and made the tires both shine and stick!

That's a spray to put on rubber tyres and they make the rubber a bite softer hence the "stickyness". That spray is used in 1/10 electric competion cars, because electric cars use rubber tyres instead of foam tyres, and it makes a huge difference in grip.
