Got a BJ

I started the Black Jack last night. I got the tranny mounted, and have the electronics mocked up. If the rest of my parts come (boomerang axle link mount and xtrc high clearance delrin links) today this may just come together by Sunday,if not swap it back to the ax-10chassis in about 1hr

I have only read good things about it. Once I get it dialed in I will give you guys an update on this TVP chassis. Looks like I will have to throw the tranny back in the Ax-10 TVP , unless USPS comes with my links.

3 weeks later and here is a rolling BJ, I striped the green and polished the rock rings and steering links.

I have no choice since the ax went under the axe today. Other than the wiring and some fuel tubing spacers ready for a shake down. I have a Rockstar body just haven't cut or painted it so need to figure out a way to mount the black illegal body...

I think there will be a learning curve going from sprung to full droop but nothing I can't handle:thumb:

I know you saw the new VF chassis...I think it has alot to be desired for. If the BJ came out the same time the VF is I would have gotten the VF. Don't get me wrong I'm really happy with the balance of this chassis so far.

I got some things i need to get the BJ where I want it...I ran soft internal springs and did not like them at all gonna try med and heavier oil. I also need to add some more weight to the wheels, it seem that the rig is lighter. I think with those added things the BJ will be what I want.

35t was a great addition as well. I really like having the extra wheel speed...I just need to dial a little more power back into the sidewinder at the bottom end.

Keep it braced side to side I guess. Check out what happened to this guys. He said it wasn't in much of a bind either.....

I saw that. I went back and put another screw in side plates near the middle on both sides...If I start bending and breaking I going VF slingshot.

Lets see here, I got through the comp this weekend with nothing bending :thumb:

today I added the revolver and locker. gave it a little shake down and have lost some wheel speed but gained torque.

funny sounding lots of torque and would be about equivalent to a 45t brushed.

I got the motor for the same price as a integy brushed and had to try it. I dont know much about the crawl master,but seems smoother and has more torque than my 35t and 55t brushed.

No...I got them off ebay,but one of the rcc vendors is now carrying them. I would order from a rcc vendor the ebay guy took over a week.
