I've been running the T1E Moonbuggy for 3 comps now and alot of practice time. It's has takin everything I can throw at it and just laughs. To begin with I was abusing it with the weight of cast Bullys and it laughed. So easy to set-up, so easy to work on, so easy to see that it is the best on the market. I used to make all my own chassis cause I'm a cheap ***. I would normally run a different chassis each comp, trying to find one that would hold up. I've been through around 15 different chassis that most of the time ended up breaking. I will not be doing that anymore THANKS to T1E!!!

Thanks for providing the best chassis money can buy!!!

Note to anyone that is on the fence about going with a T1E product. SELL THE FENCE!!

Chris

Wow, thanks a lot. Watching how hard you are on chassis, it's saying a lot.

By the way, not one of the Moonbuggy's sold has come back broke!

That's good to hear. I was sitting on mine until I could get the light weight bullies, because, I too am very hard on my chassis, and I'm on the Bully 2's. I was afraid of putting the heavy axles on it...also a bit nervous about running the SLW's on the heavy Bully axles.

I guess I'm just going to have to take the leap & do it.

It's funny, because I, too, have always built my own chassis, though I've not had the problem with breaking my current setup... It's strong enough that I was trying to flip back to my wheels at the last comp and I struck a 35lb rock (set at an angle as a climb to another rock), and broke a couple inch piece from the rock and knocked it down. I have aluminum body panels and it caved in the hood completely with the strike.

After that, I was afraid of running a light weight chassis with the heavy axles, but I guess I just need to make the leap, too.

You have a build thread anywhere on your Bully? I'm finding that alot of the berg parts just don't transfer well. Things are tight, and it looks like it's going to need longer shocks. Just curious how you made it work.

Well, I guess I spoke too soon. I played with the links a little and I got everything mocked up.

I used the same stuff. The best set-up I had with the bullys was.

--4in front shocks with 3/8 internal limiter
--red rpm pistions
--20 oil
--3.5 shocks in rear with same oil and pistions and springs
--gold springs front and rear
--dogleg links in rear
--stock axial high clearance lowers in front
--Set it up to 3.25 front belly hieght
--NO weight in the tires, just add 4-6 oz to the front axle
--Grind the housing to provide clearance for the lower links and shocks.

--Oh and use beff uppers. I was able to taco some. Thin alum tubing and a 10ft fall to rock on the roof. Not to good.

Good Luck

Chris
